Leader: Pastor Zachery Thuu
Pastor Zacharia Thuu is from Kenya and has obeyed the call of God to become the pastor of the SCN church in Tong, Sudan. His wife’s name is Elizabeth Nyabura Thuu. Together they have two children, Keith an eight year old boy and Elsie a four year old girl.
Pastor Zachary, as he is known, has been working with Bishop John Babu. Crusade meetings were held this past summer with about 30,000 who came to the meetings. The Lord moved in signs and wonders and more than half of the people attending were saved.
Since the need for an evangelical church has been great, Pastor Zachary and his wife and children have obeyed the call of God to minister to the Dinkas, in the village of Tong, Sudan.
The Dinka’s are a large ethnic group in southern Sudan. The main religion in Sudan is Islam. However, many Dinkas have rejected attempts to convert them to Islam, and now are open to Christianity. Please pray for this pastor, his family and new church in Sudan.
